Has someone ever said something to you and you’ve heard it completely differently?!

This is because some of the letters of the alphabet sound the same and sometimes it ‘s difficult to hear what  a person is saying especially if they’re in a crowded or noisy place. 

That’s why the police use a special alphabet called the ‘phonetic alphabet’ when they have to spell out a car number plate or a particular word.  Here it is:
